ANXIETY, OCD, PERFECTIONISM
When your mind rarely feels quiet.
You might find yourself replaying conversations, second-guessing decisions, or anticipating everything that could go wrong. Even when things are going well, it can be difficult to switch off the constant thinking, questioning, and pressure to get things right.
Therapy offers space to better understand these patterns, navigate uncertainty, and develop a different relationship with your thoughts.
A CLOSER LOOK
The patterns beneath the surface.
ANXIETY
You may find yourself anticipating worst-case scenarios, replaying interactions, or struggling to make decisions without second-guessing yourself. Even everyday situations can take up more mental energy than you'd like.
OCD
Intrusive thoughts, persistent doubt, and the urge to seek reassurance or certainty can create cycles that are difficult to interrupt. These patterns aren't always visible to others, but they can take up significant time and mental space.
PERFECTIONISM
High expectations can be motivating, but they can also make it difficult to feel satisfied with your efforts. Fear of mistakes, self-criticism, and the pressure to get things right can leave little room for flexibility or rest.
HOW THERAPY CAN HELP
A different relationship to your thoughts.
With anxiety, our work may focus on understanding patterns of worry, navigating uncertainty, and developing practical strategies to interrupt cycles of overthinking and avoidance.
For OCD, I incorporate Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT), tailoring treatment to your needs. Our work focuses on understanding obsessive doubt, changing how you respond to intrusive thoughts, and reducing the compulsions that keep the cycle going.
With perfectionism, we can explore the expectations and self-criticism that make it difficult to feel satisfied, while building greater flexibility and learning to approach yourself with less pressure.
You don’t have to figure it out on your own.
If anxiety, obsessive thoughts, or the pressure to get everything right are taking up more space in your life than you'd like, I'd welcome the opportunity to connect and explore how therapy might help.
